tale of Noah to the big screen, calling it a “big event
film”.*
The director recently made waves with his dark ballet thriller _Black
Swan_ (which nabbed its star Natalie Portman an Oscar), and left
comic-book fans wailing when he walked away from _The Wolverine_.
On _Noah_, he confirms: “I want to make a big event film, and I
think it can be that.
“I don’t think it’s a very religious story. I think
it’s a great fable that’s part of so many different
religions and spiritual practices. I just think it’s a great
story that’s never been on film.”
_Noah_’s script is currently in the re-writing stage with scribe
John Logan calling the shots, while Christian Bale has long been
rumoured for the title role.
With Aronofsky no longer making _The Wolverine_, _Noah_ could be an
interesting alternative – sure to be a massive cinematic epic,
it could end up being the director’s most ambitious project yet.
